Annual Report 2024

A year of learning, letting go, and laying foundations.

Purpose

At the Tutu Teach Foundation, our purpose remains clear: To improve equal access to opportunity, especially for women and girls, and to do all that is necessary to support this vision in the broadest sense.

In 2024, we faced both breakthroughs and barriers. Though some projects reached their natural conclusion, their impact continues to ripple. Other dreams remain on the horizon - waiting for the right moment, partnership, and resources to take flight.

Future Possibilities: The Sunrise Project

Though the Sunrise Project did not receive funding in 2024, its vision remains alive. We continue to seek partners aligned with our mission to empower women and foster intergenerational, cross-cultural solidarity through storytelling and community-based learning.

Want to help bring this project to life? Let's connect and co-create a future where every woman's story has the power to transform.

Partnerships: Ubuntu & Regeneration

As funding allows, we continue to partner with Orgiis Ghana to realise:

The Julia Tree Project

A regenerative forest initiative focused on planting on one million tree along Africa's Great Green Wall.

The Desmond Tutu Forest

A living tribute to the Arch's legacy of climate justice and community.

These partnerships reflect our commitment to healing both people and the planet together.
